Dedication
"Asbestos: Think Again" is dedicated to the thousands of innocent people who have suffered, and in too many cases have died, as a result of exposure to asbestos. As an environmental organization, EWG Action Fund wishes in particular to dedicate this project to the life and work of Bruce Vento, truly one of the giants in the American environmental movement, who represented the citizens of Minnesota in public life for 30 years. During his long service in the U.S. House of Representatives, Mr. Vento was an eloquent and energetic champion of countless environmental causes, from pollution control to wilderness protection. The stamp of his wisdom and advocacy can be found on many of America's most important environmental laws.
Bruce Vento died of mesothelioma on October 10, 2000.
